Description

This RGB Colour Tester is simple. Type or pick a colour, press Show, and you'll see it fill a large panel so you can judge it at a glance. Handy for checking contrast against different backgrounds, comparing two shades side by side, and seeing how a colour feels at full brightness in a dim or bright room.

You can use the built-in picker or type values directly (RGB or HEX) and the tool will display the exact colour along with the RGB/HEX readout. The two panels (Top and Bottom) let you compare variations with is useful for things like primary vs hover, light theme vs dark theme, or a proposed brand shade against an existing one. Full-screen mode is there when you want to step back from the desk and view the colour as a bigger block, which can make banding or an unwanted tint more obvious.

Another feature is the shareable URL: you can copy the address and send it to someone else so they see the same colour straight away. That's great for quick feedback without screenshots. It's not meant to replace a full design tool; it's just a fast, no-frills way to preview colours on the screens that actually matter, yours and your team's. How To Use

  1. Click the colour field to open the picker, or paste a value (e.g. rgb(232, 0, 64) or #E80040).
  2. Press Show Top or Show Bottom to apply the colour to that panel.
  3. Repeat with a second value to compare two colours side by side.
  4. Use Full Screen on either panel to view the colour edge-to-edge (press Esc to exit).
  5. Copy the RGB/HEX readout shown on each panel if you need exact values elsewhere.
  6. To share, copy the page URL after setting your colour(s) and send it. Others will load the same view.
