Bulk Upload Cup Fixture Generator

Description

This tool will allow you to create a fixture list for any event that uses a knock-out format to decide a winner. It will produce a fixture list randomly. It will also allow the feature of byes where if there is an odd number of participants in a given round, one will be picked at random to advance to the next round straight away.

The text box will treat each row as an individual participant unless that row is empty.

This tool is great! But it would be even better if it had a possibility of "seeding" selected teams in the 2nd round (choosing the teams you'd like to automatically qualify for the 2nd round) - like marking them with a symbol (e.g. an asterisk); would it be possible to implement? Anyway, thanks for this cup generator!

Been using this for 4/5 seasons now for a youth football league. I wish I'd found it earlier it saves so much time.
Just a word of advice, if you get a match with an opponent showing as 'undefined', just make sure, after you have pasted your list of team in, that the cursor is at the end of the last name and not on the line below.

The 10 team draw is incorrect. Round 1 should have two matches and 6 byes. Instead there are 3 matches including 1 undefined team.

Priority is given to falling in to a number of teams in the next round which is a power to 2. e.g. 2,4,8,16 ...
So it tries to get to this number of teams as soon as possible. That's why for 14 teams it gives 2 byes to get to 8 teams (4 matches) in the next round
